Hi all,

How are you this week??? As I mentioned before, we are going to have a potluck picnic on this upcoming Saturday. Due to the fact that Celebration of Light event will be held on July 26, most parks that are located close to downtown area will be fully occupied. Therefore, we will switch our gathering place to Deer Lake Park at 5:30 pm. The google map is as

If you are coming from Vancouver
1) Take exit #33 toward Canada Way from Hwy 1
2) Turn right on Sperling Ave
3) Keep going on Sperling Ave until you see the Deer Lake Park parking lot. We will meet at the picnic tables near the parking lot. (It's not a big park,therefore, it is unlikely for you to miss me there)

Please arrange car pool with other people in our fellowship as parking space is limited and bring sunblock, sunscreen & insect repellent if necessary. Please tell me the food you will bring and numbers of new friend you'll invite before this Wednesday at July 23,08.

So far, we have 22 participants in this picnic. There are drinks, chips, cake, Caesar salad, some vegetable, sweet rice dumpling, pizza, pan-friend Vercelli, 1 sushi party tray in our food list. I will probably make caesar salad & cold noodle on that day.

For your information, the a boat rental service in Deer Lake Park opens from 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday. It's $15 per hour per boat (plus taxes) for 2 persons rowboat/or pedal boat. It's $25 per hour per boat (plus taxes) for 4 persons pedal boat.

Please call me directly if you need rides to the park. Otherwise, you can add more food to our food list or give us suggestions (any games idea?) by leaving comments on our blog.
